RESTAURANT MANAGER: Full-time

Dock Street Brewing Co. is seeking a consummate professional with a passion for craft beer, delicious food, small-batch spirits and the rousing combination they create.

Job Profile

This person will command the performance of the brewery and restaurant business in line with Dock Street’s plans and objectives, including financial performance, guest satisfaction, event coordination and staff development. They will properly represent the ‘Dock Street’ brand and manage Dock Street growth and opportunities.  Desired management skills include organizational, problem solving, leadership and follow thru. This person can simultaneously demand respect and create a productive, gratifying work environment.

Responsibilities include:

- Work with brewery, upper management, and Head Chef on Operations and marketing promotional events and beer releases;

- Ensuring all employees live up to company standards of high quality, friendly service, respect, cleanliness;

- Staff beer education and staff brewery tour education;

- Coordinate with outside tour groups and oversee tours;

- Assist in coordinating private parties, weddings and buy-outs;

- Oversee hiring and training new FOH staff. Maintain employee history files for FOH, BOH and Brewery staff.

Job Requirements:

- Prior restaurant and management experience is a must: Two years minimum experience required.

*NOTE: We think change is a good thing, especially if it means pursuing your passion, but at this time we are not considering candidates with no restaurant experience. Please do not send your resume if you do not have experience working in the restaurant, beer, or food-service industries. Experience in one of those sectors is great, experience in two or three is even better.

- Experience with payroll, Quickbooks and POS software;

- Knowledge of and appreciation for craft beer;

- Driver License.

KITCHEN: Line Cook, Part time

Dock Street Brewery and Restaurant is seeking experienced, talented line cook for our busy brewpub in University City. 

Our menu is based around award-winning, wood-fired gourmet pizza made with hand-tossed dough and cooked in a wood-burning oven. Other specialties include sandwiches, house-made burgers and apps (like our Trio Fries) and a Sunday Brunch menu.

Our kitchen is successful, reputable and fast paced. A desire to learn and grow in the culinary/ brewpub industry is needed. This is a great opportunity in a professional, forward-thinking, progressive (and yes, fun) brewpub environment.

Position is part time but can lead to full time. 3+ Years experience required.
