GENERAL MANAGER - DOCK STREET SOUTH
Dock Street Brewing Company, founded in 1985, takes pride in its role as a leading pioneer in the American Craft Brewing Industry. Dock Street South opened in 2019, just a few months before the pandemic, and we are fortunate enough to have emerged with an incredible Front of House, Kitchen, and Brewery team, an amazing menu, both on draught and coming out of the kitchen, and a joyous atmosphere.
THE POSITION:
This position is open to an individual who is entrepreneurial, hands-on and capable of building a long-term management strategy. This individual must possess qualities that include accountability, responsibility, and ability to follow through on projects, improvements, new programming, training and more from inception to completion. This includes the ability to delegate tasks and foster a strong team that is empowered to take an active role in the success of the company. The Dock Street South GM will have oversight of the company management including Front of House (Assistant GM, Floor Managers/"Closers"/Managers on Duty) as well as oversight of restaurant operations.
Individual will command the performance of the company in line with Dock Street plans and objectives and will play an active role in identifying and managing opportunities for company growth and success. The position requires an individual who possesses leadership qualities and blends these with competence and efficiency.
The position is mainly centered on Dock Street South, but the General Manager will also oversee Dock Street Fishtown, our 1000 square foot cocktail bar in Philadelphia’s bustling Fishtown neighborhood. Management of this location includes scheduling a small but mighty staff of bartenders, implementing new beverage programs seasonally, and coordinating food deliveries from our kitchen at Dock Street South.
The General Manger reports directly to company President and Vice President.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Previous experience in related hospitality industry required, minimum 3yrs experience
-The individual brings experience with successful high growth companies and personal shared values of Honesty, Integrity and a shared Vision for company management and growth
-Bachelors Degree desired
-References
-Current Driver License

We are looking for an experienced, talented line cooks. Willing to train skilled line cooks on pizza cooking.
The ideal candidates would have experience working with pizza and dough and enjoy working in a creative and busy atmosphere.
- Maintain standards of cleanliness, including COVID Protocols
- Adhere to guidelines and protocols set forth by Dock Street Brewery including the employee handbook and COVID Protocols, and maintaIn a positive and constructive work environment
- Current Servesafe certification is a plus
Starting wage is $15/hr. Goes up based on experience.
