beer sales rep, FULL TIME

Dock Street Brewery is seeking an energetic, team-playing Sales Rep super-star to join our family.

Our company is the oldest craft brewery in Philadelphia, but we run like young-gunners, and are looking for a Sales Rep that reflects that energy and Out-of-the-Box, Make-it-Happen magic.

We’re about to expand in a huge way - our newest location at 2118 Washington Avenue is slated to open in Summer 2019, and will more than triple our brewing capacity. There’s a lot of excitement and good vibes, both within the company and throughout the city, and the ideal Sales Rep candidate will start asap and keep that momentum going throughout our expansion and beyond.

The ideal candidate will also be organized and communicative, as this role is equal parts collaborative and independent, so being self-motivated and a good record keeper while working independently is key.

We are open to anyone who has a voracious appetite for learning how to navigate and conquer in a competitive and fast paced craft beer industry marketplace as well as an experienced individual who has the passion  and drive to be involved in the craft beer industry. In addition, he or she must share company values of honesty and integrity.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- A valid drivers licence;
- A car or regular access to one for travel to promotional events, tastings/samplings, beer fests, etc.;
- The ability to lift and/or move and maneuver cases of beer and occasionally kegs.

EXPERIENCE:
A genuine passion for craft beer.
Food and beverage service experience preferred, not required.
Sales experience preferred but not required.
Experience talking about beer and a knowledge of beer, the brewing process, different styles, etc. Some training will be provided.

YOU MUST:
Be 21+ years of age
Be available to work on evenings and weekends

BRAND AMBASSADORS; Part-time

We're looking for brand ambassadors with Friday availability. (9-5ers need not apply, tastings usually require a 3pm departure time.)

You obviously already love craft beer. Want to work in the industry? Specifically, want to attend beer festivals and tastings to serve up delicious Dock Street beer with a side of history and brewing knowledge to other beer enthusiasts - and occasionally, people who don't yet know that they are beer enthusiasts. 

We here at Dock Street, Philly's First Craft Brewery, are looking for people like you.  We’re looking for qualified Street Ambassadors to represent us in Central and North New Jersey.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Attending beer samplings and occasional beer festivals on behalf of Dock Street; setting up displays including banners and swag; tapping kegs or setting up cases/bottles for pouring; serving beer;
- Organizing temporary and permanent displays at off-premise accounts. Speaking with beer enthusiasts, fans of our brand, and potential future customers about Dock Street's history, beer availability, etc.;
- Working with our NJ wholesaler to set up and organize tastings.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

FRONT OF HOUSE, dock street west philly: 

HOST/HOSTESS

Previous experience and, needless to say, friendly, positive and welcoming attitude is a must.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Greet and seat guests;

- Make/manage a waitlist on busy nights;

- Distribute parties evenly throughout the dining room and among servers;

- On some occasions, you'll optimize both of our spaces by directing spillover guests to Dock Street Cannery + Tasting Lounge to wait if it gets packed in the main brewpub and communicate with them to return to main Dock Street Brewpub when their table is ready.

This position is part-time; 1 - 3 afternoon/evening shifts a week. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings now, plus more in the Spring/Summer when outdoor seating is back.

BREWERY BARTENDER, Dock Street BREWPUB

We are looking for a Brewery Bartender with weekend availability. To be considered, you must have prior bartending experience at a brewery.

CANNERY BARTENDER, Dock Street BREWPUB

We are looking for a Bartender for Dock Street Cannery + Tasting Lounge with weekend availability. To be considered, you must have prior bartending experience.

Knowledge of craft beer, cocktails and passion for all of the above is a must!

Experience creating a menu and designing recipes including house-made ingredients is a soft requirement and a strong plus.

You must be a people person. Be friendly, engaging and talkative - the Cannery is an intimate, really special garage bar, and there is no space for bad attitudes or bad service.

This position is part-time; Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, plus special events + private parties.

SERVER

Previous experience and, needless to say, friendly, positive and "yes" (as opposed to, well, "no") attitude is a must.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Serving food and beverages to guests in your section;

- Setting up OR breaking down, depending on your shift;

- Light sidework including rolling silverware, checking condiments, etc., wiping tables at the end of the night.

Ideally, you should have some experience or knowledge in beer and brewing; prior work in a brewpub is great!

This position is part-time; 1 - 3 afternoon/evening shifts a week. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings now, plus more in the Spring/Summer when outdoor seating is back.
