SALES:

NEW JERSEY SALES REP, dock street beer and dock street spirits/vicio mezcal; PART-TIME

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- A valid drivers licence;
- A car or regular access to one for travel to promotional events, tastings/samplings, beer fests, etc.;

EXPERIENCE:
Prior sales experience;
Experience talking about and a knowledge of spirits, beer, the brewing process, different styles, cocktails, serving, etc.;
A genuine passion for craft beer and craft spirits;
Know NJ pretty well - yes, there's GPS but it helps (understatement) if you know the territory.
Food and beverage service experience preferred, not required.

YOU MUST:
Be 21+ years of age
Have a car - this job requires driving.

BRAND AMBASSADORS; Part-time

We're looking for brand ambassadors with Friday availability. (9-5ers need not apply, tastings usually require a 3pm departure time.)

You obviously already love craft beer. Want to work in the industry? Specifically, want to attend beer festivals and tastings to serve up delicious Dock Street beer with a side of history and brewing knowledge to other beer enthusiasts - and occasionally, people who don't yet know that they are beer enthusiasts. 

We here at Dock Street, Philly's First Craft Brewery, are looking for people like you.  We’re looking for qualified Street Ambassadors to represent us in Central and North New Jersey.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Attending beer samplings and occasional beer festivals on behalf of Dock Street; setting up displays including banners and swag; tapping kegs or setting up cases/bottles for pouring; serving beer;
- Organizing temporary and permanent displays at off-premise accounts. Speaking with beer enthusiasts, fans of our brand, and potential future customers about Dock Street's history, beer availability, etc.;
- Working with our NJ wholesaler to set up and organize tastings.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- A valid drivers licence;
- A car or regular access to one for travel to promotional events, tastings/samplings, beer fests, etc.;
- The ability to lift and/or move and maneuver cases of beer and occasionally kegs.

EXPERIENCE:
A genuine passion for craft beer.
Food and beverage service experience preferred, not required.
Sales experience preferred but not required.
Experience talking about beer and a knowledge of beer, the brewing process, different styles, etc. Some training will be provided.

FRONT OF HOUSE: 

 

ASSISTANT MANAGER, DOCK STREET BREWERY

Dock Street Brewing Co. is seeking a consummate professional with a passion for craft beer, delicious food and the rousing combination they create.

This person will work directly with General Manager to command the performance of the brewery and restaurant business in line with Dock Street’s plans and objectives, including operations, staff development, brewpub and cannery performance, guest satisfaction, and event coordination. Desired management skills include organization, problem solving, leadership and follow through. This person can simultaneously demand respect and create a productive, gratifying work environment. We pride ourselves on rewarding talent and encouraging forward thinking.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Front of House Management, Office Administration and Scheduling; Work with Office Manager / Bookkeeper on administration and operation such as employee file maintenance, payroll issues, etc.
- Work with General Manager, brewery, upper management, and Head Chef on Operations and marketing promotional events and beer releases
- Ensuring all employees live up to company standards of high quality, friendly service, respect, cleanliness
- Coordinate with large, outside tour groups, oversee tours
- Assist with staff beer education and brewery tour education
- Nightly cash reconciliation
- Manage inventory and labor in accordance with company guidelines
- Oversee master cleaning schedule
- Ensuring all employees live up to company standards of high quality, friendly service, respect, cleanliness
- Coordinate with large, outside tour groups
- Implement and carry out staff beer education

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior restaurant and management experience is a must. Two years minimum experience required.
- Experience with Aloha or similar POS software
- Knowledge of and appreciation for craft beer
- College degree in business management, hospitality or culinary field preferred.
- Experience with inventory management
- Drivers License
- Ability to lead, direct and develop staff
- Knowledge of bar & restaurant industry trends, government regulations, health department codes

BARTENDER, Dock Street Cannery + Tasting Lounge

We are currently seeking a creative, talented and experienced cocktail bartender for the Dock Street Cannery + Tasting Lounge, newly opened in April 2017 next door to our flagship brewpub in West Philly. Dock Street Cannery + Tasting Lounge features draft cocktails, craft cocktails, beer cocktails, fun bites and more.

Knowledge of craft beer, cocktails and passion for all of the above is a must!

To be considered, you must have prior bartending experience.

This position is part-time; 1 - 3 afternoon/evening shifts a week.

Dock Street Brewery and Restaurant is looking for an experienced, talented kitchen manager for our busy brew pub and cannery in University City/ West Philly. Our brewpub menu centers around our award-winning wood-fired specialty pizzas, along with other chargrilled and oven fired specialties. The ideal candidate will have managerial experience that includes ordering, scheduling, cost control, quality control, training, etc.

Great opportunity in a professional, respectful, burgeoning brewery environment.

LINE COOK (Part time), Dock Street Brewery and Restaurant

Dock Street Brewery and Restaurant is seeking experienced, talented line cook for our busy brewpub in University City. 

Our menu is based around award-winning, wood-fired gourmet pizza made with hand-tossed dough and cooked in a wood-burning oven. Other specialties include sandwiches, house-made burgers and apps (like our Trio Fries) and a Sunday Brunch menu.

Our kitchen is successful, reputable and fast paced. A desire to learn and grow in the culinary/ brewpub industry is needed. This is a great opportunity in a professional, forward-thinking, progressive (and yes, fun) brewpub environment.

Position is part time but can lead to full time. 3+ Years experience required.
