Dock Street Brewery is celebrating the vibrant art scene surrounding both of our locations in South Philly and South West Philly with a four-day long festival showcasing local talents in five categories: Music, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Film and Writing. The above finalists were chosen to present their entries in person at Dock Street South or Dock Street West/Dock Street Cannery.

A Best in Show Winner and Runners-Up will be selected by a panel of judges. Each category will also have a “People’s Choice” winner, voted on by the attendees.

We will choose up to 10 finalists from each category to present their entries in person at Dock Street South or Dock Street West/Dock Street Cannery.

You know we love a good “first”. (See also: “Est in 1985.”) 

Dock Street Brewing Co. has brewed the first drone assisted beer with our next-door neighbors at Exyn Technologies here in Point Breeze. The first people we met when we signed for our new digs were the folks at Exyn, and within a few minutes of meeting we joked about a drone-made beer - and then after the chuckles subsided, we got serious about a drone made beer. We went home that day with a new location site and an idea for our first experimental beer.

2020 starting off oh-so-sweet!! Dock Street nabbed THREE medals at the Pennsylvania Farm Show, including one first place (!!!) and two second place prizes. The best part? All three of these brewskis are available for takeout at all Dock Street locations, as well as various spots around town such as Whole Foods, GoPuff, Springfield Beverage (right next door to our brewpub) and lots of other great bars and bottle shops.

True story!

Our friend and West Philly neighbor plays the lottery with his pals back home in Sierra Leone every so often. One night, he had a dream about the winning lottery numbers. On his way to buy tickets the following day, he stopped off at Dock Street West and…never left. He missed his chance to play the number from his area, and sure enough, it was the winning number. We felt kinda guilty, so we brewed him a beer, and it tasted like a million bucks so we’re canning it to share with even more folks!
