We're keeping it hand-crafty for the launch of the Hand Crafted series at The Clay Studio.

(Spoiler alert: Hand-crafted beer and mezcal will be enjoyed out of hand-crafted clay vessels.)

Thursday, October 15
6:30pm - 8:30pm
at

The Clay Studio
137-139 North Second Street
Philadelphia, PA

Hang out in The Clay Studio's Old City galleries and taste libations like Dock Street's Rye IPA and Satellite Espresso Stout - there will be five beers on tap total, with plenty of surprises - as well as our new spirit, Vicio Mezcal, straight from our sister company Dock Street Spirits.

Marilyn Candeloro of Dock Street Spirits and Sasha Certo-Ware, Brewer and Director of Marketing & Sales at Dock Street, will host the tasting amidst a display of ceramic growlers and beer mugs made by Wm. Reeder Fahnestock, an artist from Maine who makes work from locally sourced clay that is inspired by early English folk pottery.

Because you'll definitely want to enjoy your art and drink from it, too, Clay Studio Resident Artist Daniel Ricardo Teran will make ceramic cups in the style of traditional mezcal clay cups, which have wide rims and shallow depths to allow the aromas of the spirit to flow freely without concentrating the alcohol at the nose.  Each guest will receive a cup to take home after the event.

We're loving the theme of Hand Crafted -- a social, experience-based event series that celebrates the functionality of handmade, one-of-a-kind ceramic objects -- and we're feeling quite honored to be the first in this amazing series!

Members: $35.00 Non-Members $40.00 (Both include beer samples + a clay mezcal cup.)
