FROM THE ARTIST:
I love good food and drink. I was intrigued by the difference in the color and luminosity of each type of beer as the light shines through it. I started painting some of my favorite local beers this year. This is a print from one of my original oil paintings of a Dock Street beer.

Dock Street Rye IPA is from a brewer in Philadelphia. I love a rye beer and this was a great one. The pour has a foamy head that dissipates quickly leaving some lace. It has rich chestnut and deep gold color yet its haziness makes the beer look as though it has striations in color. The beer is dry and spicy. You can smell the rye and there might be some orange hints.

Dock Street Bohemian Pilsner, a Czech style pilsner with a golden color and crisp taste. It has a floral yet nutty hoppy bouquet with hints of grains and grass. It tastes and looks like sunshine.

I have been painting and exhibiting my artwork for over 20 years and I am represented by two galleries on the east coast. I have fine art degrees from both Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and University of Pennsylvania.
